An advocate and supporter of American Indian and Alaskan Native owned businesses, NIBA seeks to foster social and economic growth in creating a better quality of life in Tribal communities. History The National Indian Business Association was founded in 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its first order of business was to look into the major causes preventing Native owned business development and offer, as business men and women, our solutions, creativity and knowledge to attacking the problem. NIBAs mission is to promote American Indian business development through education, communication and advocacy. From its inception, NIBA has served the Native business community often stretching its resources to their fullest. NIBA has proudly helped literally thousands of Native owned businesses and corporations to grow. Whether guiding Native businesses through the maze of Federal contacting possibilities and listings, to establishing strong ties between Native owned corporations and corporate America, NIBA has successfully implemented a wide variety of business building programs. It has achieved its success by providing information, programs, services and activities specifically designed to accommodate the unique needs of American Indian and Alaskan Native business owners, entrepreneurs and governments.
