NIBA has advocated through congressional education sessions and legislative forums for American Indian and Alaskan Native businesses in the areas of NAFTA, HUBZones Act, SBA regulations, DOD Indian incentive program, Tribal Business Information Centers, National tourism projects, Buy Indian Act, Self-Determination, Affirmative Action, and establishing relationships with Fortune 500 companies. NIBA is in the process of securing a Memorandum of Understanding with 10 HUBZone Federal procurement agencies for the development of HUBZone Native American contracting.
